The Big Lunch is the UK's biggest annual get together for neighbours. It's a simple idea - that for a few glorious hours, cars stop, shyness stops and neighbours come together in the street to meet, greet, share, swap, sing, plan and laugh. In 2017, 9.3 million people took to their streets, gardens and neighbourhoods to join in for a few hours of community, friendship and fun. Sunday 3 June, and help us make 2018 the biggest Big Lunch yet!
Des will spend a month on a course at Richard Rohr's Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico this summer, whence I returned last month. By 'chance' a USA community member sent me Rohr's book on Spirituality and the Twelve Steps('Breathing Under Water' the day Des departed.
This points out that all church people who are too busy promoting their mission to face up to their own false egos need these twelve steps as much as people who are addicted to other things that cover up their denials.

I realise how divinely guided CA&H has been to require quality time working through simplicity, purity of motive and obedience (trusting relationship) before we can begin to walk The Way. For The Way is at Ground Level. If we are above others, if we are church members who suffer from the Pharisee Tendency, if we are trying to climb ladders, we can't put a foot on to the Way. So, with the help of Rohr's book and our Three Life-giving Principles, I am working through the Twelve Steps for everyone.

Is not that the only way our world can become an Eden?
