Saints, Spirit And Sailing The World
Those in vows from five countries gathered at Scargill House in UK's beautiful Yorkshire Dales for our annual retreat this week at a time when the world faces crises and we are tired by pandemics and cost of living fears
Scott Brennan, a respected church planter and director of church leaders, led our four teaching sessions on 'The Saints and the Spirit'. He told how he was propelled into the Spirit realms by an African apostle. He shared how Celtic saints were aflame with the Spirit and intoxicated with God.
They teach us to move in the consciousness of heaven. 'Heaven is a foot and a half above yur head' said an Irish woman. While reading a magazine at Scargill I read this quote from the late Brother Roger of Taize: 'What does God want of us? To be a reflectiin of his presence in every situation'.
But Celtic Christians were also earthy. They walked, cooked, farmed nd sang.
Do you get the hang of this?
