Last Week's Hits - The Four B's
* asked Boris, Mayor of London, that London take Scotland into its heart, and celebrate a Scots hero, poet, philosopher and saint in a central square.
* urged BBC Proms to change the wording of the world-famous (or infamous) Last Night chorus 'Rule Britannia'. The world loves the Last Night of the Proms but also hates British imperialism. I suggested these words:
Shine Britannia, Britannia light the waves
Britons, never, never, never shall be slaves.
* Worshipped at the spot in Bamburgh Church where Saint Aidan died, recalled that night's miracle of the vision of his angel escort to heaven which resulted in Saint Cuthbert's great vocation, felt shakings and sensed more miracles are round the corner
* Wrote to the committee that draws up a profile for a new Bishop of Newcastle commending a person who will re-connect with the people, empower the vast untapped resource bank of people 'in the pews', offer soul friendship to clergy and partner with new monastic networks.
Support the hopes invested in the Four B's: Boris, Britannia, Bamburgh and Bishop.
